Trip To Bokor National Park | Cambodia

The Bokor Mountain Hill Station has been on the top, in Bokor National Park, for 32 kilometers up 1,101 meters from road 3 near Kampot. It was formerly a small tourist town, but it has now become a ghost town, and the National Park has been abandoned. That is, aside from the numerous tourists and Park staff, as well as a few thousand manufacturing workers, hotel employees, and casino employees. Former King’s homes, an abandoned monastery, Buddhist Wat, a waterfall, and then a hazy shot or a view of Southern Cambodia’s Islands and Vietnam’s Phu Island are among the highlights.

Through Kampot, on route 3 to Sihanoukville (not route 3 to Phnom Penh), a prominent landmark on the right welcomes you to Bokor National Park or the other well-known Bokor Mountain for locals. Just up the road is the Bokor Ranger Station. Mountain climbing is free of charge.

A motorbike or automobile can bring you to the summit. In Kampot, you can rent huge dirt bikes for less than $12 per day and 100cc electric motorbikes for $4-$5 per day if you don’t have your own truck. Gas costs about $1 per liter and will get you on a 10cc motorcycle for up to an hour per liter. The trip up is now pretty pleasant and smooth. Because the winds are significantly colder, you may wish to wear some warm clothing as well as a raincoat.

You can even book a seat in a vehicle or bus for a day trip that includes a $10-$25 supper. The majority of trips depart from Kampot’s downtown area. Yes, they will come to your place and pick you up. There will be tour signs posted throughout the area. Others include a “firefly boat excursion” on the Kampot River in the evening. Walking is not an option. However, there may also be walking paths on board that range from a few hours to a whole day.

And as you climb higher and higher, take a break at the “lookout spots.” In case something goes wrong, you should also have something to drink and eat. Warm garments and raincoats are also quite useful.
